About our organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a new, fast-paced start-up to help farmers tackle the nature and climate crises. The start-up is being incubated within the Soil Association and aims to help all farmers measure and improve the ecological health of their farm and get financially rewarded in the process. We are looking for an exceptional Head of Agricultural Advice who will design a service to guide farmers, both online and in person, to adopt more agroecological/regenerative practices.

About you

We are looking for people who:

- Have a proven track-record on working with farmers at scale to help them change agricultural practices.

- Have extensive experience supporting farmers to farm more agroecologically.

- Have a large and diverse network of UK farmers

- Are passionate about making farming one of the solutions to climate change.
