About our organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a new, fast-paced start-up to help farmers tackle the nature and climate crises. The start-up is being incubated within the Soil Association and aims to help all farmers measure and improve the ecological health of their farm and get financially rewarded in the process. We are looking for a head of technology who will lead the development of an online suite of tools to empower farmers to manage their land more regeneratively.
We are looking for people who: - Have extensive experience delivering high-quality technical products that solve complex problems.
- Understand the science behind how agriculture and climate change interact.
- Are passionate about helping farmers to protect our climate, nature and health.
