About our organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
About the opportunity
Following increasing certificate numbers, we are looking to add two new administrators (one permanent and one 12 month fixed term) to our busy, friendly Forestry Administration Team.
In this role, you will provide key administrative support to the whole of the Forestry team and our Certificate Holders, focusing on our certification schemes. You will be responsible for assisting with the data processing of complex Excel audit reports and ensuring databases are accurately updated. You will help ensure we provide excellent customer service by answering the phone and dealing with several mailboxes. You will also be part of our Trademark Approval team.
You will have proven experience in office administration, great attention to detail and accuracy, and a positive approach to problem-solving. You will have excellent computer skills and be very competent in working with Excel and databases. You will enjoy working proactively within a team environment and enjoy supporting others. As we are a global organisation, it would also be advantageous to have some competency in a second language.
